No, we are not fitters or home interior designers.

We are based in Oldham and Sheffield.

Unfortunately, you will have to discuss this with your fitter. They are the ones who have designed everything. We supply what they need to bring your ideas to life.

When it comes to mixing and matching worktops with cabinets, there are several factors to consider to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing look. Here are some tips:

1. Consider the colour scheme: Start by determining the overall colour scheme you want to achieve in your kitchen. Decide whether you prefer a monochromatic look, complementary colours, or contrasting hues. This will guide your choices for both the worktop and cabinet colours.

2. Balance light and dark: If you have dark cabinets, consider pairing them with a lighter worktop to create contrast and prevent the space from feeling too heavy. Conversely, light cabinets can be complemented with a darker worktop for added depth and richness.

3. Look for complementary materials: Consider the material of your cabinets and look for worktops that complement them. For example, if you have wooden cabinets, a worktop with a similar wood tone or a coordinating natural stone could work well.

4. Consider texture and pattern: Think about the texture and pattern of your cabinets and how they can be balanced or enhanced by the worktop. For example, if you have sleek, modern cabinets, a polished quartz worktop might provide a nice contrast. If your cabinets have intricate details, a simpler, solid-coloured worktop could be a good choice.

5. Seek inspiration: Look for inspiration in interior design magazines, websites or social media platforms. Explore different kitchen designs to get a sense of what combinations appeal to you and align with your personal style.

7. Test samples: Before making a final decision, you can go with your fitter to see samples of both the cabinet and worktop materials. Place them side by side, this will help you visualise how the colours and textures work together in your space.

Coming up with décor ideas for your home project can be a creative and enjoyable process. Here are some steps to help you generate ideas:

  1. Gather inspiration: Start by collecting inspiration from various sources such as interior design magazines, home décor websites, social media platforms (Pinterest, Instagram) and even by visiting local home décor stores or attending home expos. Save or bookmark images, articles or products that catch your eye and resonate with your personal style.

  1. Create a mood board: Once you have gathered a collection of inspiration, create a mood board to visually organise your ideas. You can do this physically by cutting out images and arranging them on a poster board or digitally using online tools or apps. Include images of colour schemes, furniture styles, textures, patterns and any other elements that you find appealing.

  1. Determine your style: Reflect on your personal preferences and lifestyle to identify your preferred décor style. Are you drawn to modern and minimalistic designs, or do you lean towards rustic and cosy? Do you prefer bold and vibrant colours, or are you more inclined towards neutral and soothing tones? Understanding your style will help guide your décor choices.

  1. Consider the function of the space: Think about how you intend to use the space you are decorating. Is it a living room for relaxation and entertainment, a bedroom for rest and rejuvenation, or a home office for productivity? Consider the activities that will take place in the room and let that guide your décor decisions.

  1. Take note of existing elements: Assess the existing elements in the space, such as flooring, architectural features and fixed furniture. Consider how these elements will influence your décor choices. For example, if you have a hardwood floor, you may want to choose furniture and décor that complements its natural warmth.

  1. Experiment with colour schemes: Colours play a significant role in décor. Experiment with different colour palettes to set the mood and atmosphere of the space. You can start with a base colour and then add complementary or contrasting hues to create depth and visual interest. Online colour palette generators can help you explore various combinations.

Remember, home décor is a creative process, so enjoy the journey and have fun exploring different ideas and possibilities!
